21CQ is interested in mainstreaming high science literacy among the professional and policy-political classes, and also in increasing the incorporation of science and scientific expertise into policy-making more broadly. Critically, 21CQ sees science as a necessary but not veto-wielding element of “systems thinking” for best-in-class decision-making, in concert with many other disciplines and policy areas.
To this end, 21CQ works with institutional partners, expert communities and the broader public, nationally and internationally to bring together scientific and policy communities, nationally and internationally, to analyze and solve practical problems.
21CQ makes its arguments and interventions in support of its goals through conferences, briefings, publications, private and public interventions, classroom teaching, as well as Track 1, Track 1.5 and Track 2 initiatives around the world.
