Lerna K. Yanık is Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Kadir Has University, Istanbul, Turkey. She received her PhD in Government from Georgetown University. She worked at Bilkent University, in Ankara, Turkey prior to coming to Kadir Has University.
She specializes in Turkish politics and her current research involves the making of politics of space and place in Turkish foreign policy discourse. She has published in Global Brief magazine, as well as journals such as Turkish Studies and Uluslararası İlişkiler (in Turkish), Political Geography, Geopolitics, Middle East Journal of Culture and Communication, Human Rights Quarterly and Europe-Asia Studies.
